It is the walls of the restaurant which breathe with many a century and witnessed many a prince. The restaurant attracts attention of its visitors keen to touch the history. Only here you really can stretch your hand out and touch eternity, the oldest walls in Western Ukraine dating from 13th century.

Grydnycia is also special in terms of the personnel attire, which is the exact replica of the clothes of 15-16 centuries the era of Polish-Lithuanian principality. It is designed according to the 700-year-old methodology.

Crockery is hand-made. Having taken a small cup of coffee you’ll feel how much warmth and soul had been infused in it by the craftswoman. The main thing is, that everything is made by a beautiful, slender and kind woman Seryogina Iryna, a very honored craftswoman of Ukraine.
If you have a close look at napkins you’ll notice that it is delicately trimmed with hand embroided lace according to the sketches saved from 16th century.

All in all, what is ‘grydnycia’? you might wonder. Oh - you ll get in respond, - haven’t you known what is ‘grydnycia’? The word ‘grydnycia’ is not much older than Olesky Castle. It means a room or a building at the prince’s castle where grydni used to rest. They had special privileges in prince’s army, since they served a function of modern body guards. The second meaning of the word ‘grydncia’ is a room where the wedding receptions used to be held. By the way, our “Grydnycia” is an exceptionally convenient place to celebrate such important event in your life. Finally, a festive hall in prince’s court used to be denoted by the word ‘grydnycia’ as well.
